I called the white glove people again. After they said hello and took my info, they put me on hold for 12 minutes. Their hold music would have been fine if it hadn’t sounded like it was playing through the currently blown speaker on the brake side of my Harley’s batwing.
“May 22nd,” he says when he comes back on. “They’ll call you on the 19th with a 4 hour window.”
Now I have an absolutely-cannot-be-missed-under-any-circumstances Dr. appointment with several people on May 22nd starting about 2PM. I’ve been working towards that day for at least 4 months. As much as I hate doing it, I ask to move the delivery date.
“Can’t do it,” he says. Lucky me.
Turns out now that it is in their system, I have to wait for them to call me on the 19th and then if I can’t make it their window, I have to reschedule, leading to another delay of 2-3 weeks, or more if they get swamped. That pushes it into a timeframe where I might not even be home for a few days.
Not much, I can do here. Mr. James is going to wait until the 19th and hope for the best.
More to come…
